PAVE is an ISO 9001-certified manufacturer of high-precision hermetic electrical feedthroughs and connectors, serving demanding industries including aerospace and defense, EV technology, and advanced engineering applications. As we continue to grow — both organically and through acquisition — we are looking for a talented accounting professional to grow with us.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to make a meaningful impact. You’ll serve as a key financial partner to the Controller and CFO, owning the monthly close process and financial statements, while also diving deep into cost accounting, inventory management, and gross margin analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Complete the month end close process, including labor and inventory accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Build and maintain bills of material (BOMs) in coordination with operations and engineering teams.
- Manage and reconcile inventory, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Develop and enhance gross margin reporting by customer and product line, providing actionable insights to leadership.
- Track and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and overhead allocations.
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPI’s) and analyzing operational performance.
- Partner with operations to improve cost controls and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Assist with financial due diligence and integration as additional companies are acquired.
What You Bring
- 5 to 10 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong command of cost accounting principles — BOMs, standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a CPA or CMA designation is a plus but not required.
- Advanced Excel knowledge, comfortable building models, pivot tables, and reporting tools from scratch.
- Clear communicator of financial results to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Detail-oriented and self-directed, able to manage priorities without a large team around you. You bring the discipline and rigor of a larger organization but genuinely enjoy the pace, visibility, and impact of a smaller company.
