Job Description
The Assembler will be responsible for grinding and polishing various fiber optic cable components and ensuring that they meet quality standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have experience working with fiber optic cables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficient use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators; proven ability to read blueprint drawings
- Work as a team member in a group, with the team leader to complete the daily production schedule
- Recognize documentation or manufacturing issues as they arise and bring to attention of team leader
- Performs maintenance on machinery as per ISO requirement
- Maintains custom tooling fixtures as required
- Ability to understand and follow processes from documented engineered manufacturing protocols
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures when required
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school diploma and/or a minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Proven ability to complete multiple tasks effectively and prioritize work
- Basic knowledge of machine shop equipment
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 Quality System Standards
- Must be able to work with intensity to meet deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to monitor, instruct and interact with other employees on a day to day basis
- Must have the ability to communicate problems to management
- Ability to read blueprint drawings would be a plus
- Understanding in working with 2 part epoxies & other adhesive materials is a plus
